Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor King is a leading international scientist in the field of Earth and planetary dynamics. His outstanding achievements have allowed mantle processes, such as convective flow with tectonic plates, to be modeled more realistically, and made possible more quantitative interpretation of surface observations, such as the origin of intraplate volcanism. In Germany, he will develop multidisciplinary studies of subduction and mixing in mantle flow.
